Straight answers to what people ask before they paste something private. btext is part of bstack, made and run by one person: me, Matias Barragan. The legal versions are the Privacy Policy and the Terms.

Is my text uploaded?

No. Every tool on the page runs in your browser. Your text is never sent to me or to anyone else, and btext has no analytics and no tracking cookies. You can check: open your browser's network tab and paste something.

Does it use AI?

No. "Clean AI formatting" cleans up text that came from a chat assistant: markdown marks, em dashes, curly quotes and hidden characters. It does that with plain rules, shows you what it found before it changes anything, and Ctrl+Z undoes it.

How btext makes money

It doesn't. Every tool is free, with no limit and no signup. Later I plan an optional paid bstack Pro for things that cost money to run, like storage. Nothing you can do today will move behind it. There are no ads, and I never sell what you type.

Is it open source?

Not today. If that changes, this page will say so. Questions go to mati@barragan.com.py.
